Maggie Sottero Gowns Bought On Line?

Maggie Sottero`s official web site recommends that you don`t buy their gowns through the internet. Hope that is helpful!

I feel stupid now... As I am trying to sell my Maggie Sottero wedding gown on the internet, and I just pointed out that people should not buy from me!

I checked out the Maggie Sottero website to get the name of my gown style and saw that message re: buying their gown on the internet on their site.

I guess it is up to the individual whether they trust people selling used gowns on-line, but I don`t think I would buy a new gown from a vendor other than the ones listed on the Maggie Sottero website.

Yes, I bought my dress via internet. The place was a full service bridal salon though, they just offer dresses mail order also. I had no problems and would do it again. I did have the opportunity to try on the gown I wanted locally so I knew what it looked like and how it fit. I would have purchased it from my local salon had they been willing to negotiate price. I saved $400 buying it mail order, who wouldn`t want to do that?

HAas anyone actually bought one?
Did it come with a certificate?
HOw long and who from?

HAve you had any answers yet i need to order today so i get my dress in time

I bought my Maggie from www.Bestbuybridal.com. EXCELLENT PRICE, SERVICE!! Tried same dress on at local salon, but needed too much lead time, so I went online. Bestbuybridal gave best quote, kept personal, regular phone contact w/me until dress arrived. I had my maggie for half the retail price in 3 weeks. Definitely check them out!

I don`t see Best Buy Bridal on the Maggie Sottero store locator. I thought all authorized stores are listed there?

Best Buy Bridal is the internet sales dept of a bridal store. I can`t remember the details but if you emasil them they will confirm the details for you. I have dealt with them and recommend buying. Make sure if buying online that your gown comes with a certificate of authenticity, that the certificate is stamped with a gold seal otherwise it is not a real certificate also check that the gown has the m aggie sottero label inside the corset of the gown otherwise it is not a real maggie.

People can tell you that they are authorised retailers repeatedly (as posts above) but do make sure you are careful and remember not everyone is out there to rip you off, if the stores didn`t bang the prices up so high on the gowns you wouldn`t have to look online.

Has anyone bought their Maggie Sottero gown on line from Pearls Place? They are a authorized dealer on the Maggie Sottero website. I just ordered mine yesterday. They seem to be good people. If anyone can share their experience I would really appreciate it.

I didn`t use them, but I heard nothing but good reviews about them when I was looking for my dress.

Nan and Icejet have you only ordered or do you have your dresses already? I am thinking about buying my dress from Best Buy Bridal, but I am worried about what will happen if the dress is defective or I never get my dress.

I have my dress and it`s perfect. I love, love, love it!

Do call the 800 number on the Best Buy Bridal website and just talk to Barbara (I think that was her name). I was v. Nervous about ordering online but she answered all my questions and earned my confidence. Like someone said earlier, not everyone is "out to get you"; she was completely straight w/me and did just what she promised all the way.

BTW...I think maybe bestbuybridal isn`t on the "authorized dealers" list b/c it`s the internet arm of a full-service store w/another name. I know my dress came directly from Maggie, so that full-serv store is probably "on the list."

Just being an "authorized dealer" is no guarantee of good service anyway. Online or in person, look for a salesperson who makes you feel comfortable. They should answer all of your questions to your satisfaction, be proactively helpful and direct, have good references (on this board or elsewhere), and patience with your needs/questions. When you find someone you trust, follow up regularly, don`t assume anything, and save your email trail if there is one. Remember, YOU`RE the one spending all that dough!

I have deakt with Barbara on many occasions, and can recommend them highly. TBBB is the internet section of her mothers store which is called Bettys Bridal or something like that.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM !!!
