Need Opinions About Veil

I would really like some feedback about wearing my veil. I would like to wear it for the dinner and dance. I think it looks so pretty! Is there a reason why most people usually take it off for the dance?

I got married September 20, and I wore mine throughout the whole evening - largely because I forgot it was there! I sort of wish I had taken it off at some point, because my hair was done really beautifully underneath. But it looked gorgeous throughout the evening.

I am getting married Oct. 8, 04 and I plan on wearing my veil all night. Largely because I have a tattoo that I would like to cover. But also because I just love the way it looks.

Hi I`m renewing my vows and when I got married I had my veil so the long part was detachable, so I just had the head band part, and could see entire hair do. Just a suggestion.

I thought I would want to wear my veil all night as well, but about an hour into the reception, I started to get pretty hot (dancing, flash-bulbs, lots of people wanting to hug you...etc), so we took mine off. I`m glad I did because my wedding photos have two distinct looks now (formal photos vs. Reception) and I have photos of how beautiful my hair was that day too.

Hope that helps...just wing it and do what you`re comfortable with at the time!

I agree, veils are gorgeous and fun to wear. However, I have opted to wear mine only for the ceremony and the meal, then I am simply wearing my tiara and taking the veil off.

Most brides take theirs off eventually because during it gets tugged on all evening from well-wishing guests as they hug you and kiss you --- plus, it`s just a bit more comfortable on your head (depending on the type of veil you wear some have combs that poke at people`s heads).

But, if you love your veil and want to wear it all night -- then go for it! It`s your day and if you want to wear it then you should.
