How To Make My Own Chair Covers
I want to have chair covers at my wedding reception but they are too expensive to rent for 270 people, I was wondering if I could get instructions on how to make them on my own at home...
Thanks so much

Hi Melissa,
I`m a seamstress, so slipcovering to fit a chair isn`t that difficult for me. You can find McCalls slipcover chair patterns, they may be a guide for you. You will need to know what kind of chair it is...every chair requires a different fit. Are they banquet chairs???
Metal Folding Chairs?? Parson chairs??? It helps to get a chair , make a pattern and start adjusting from that design.
If I can be of help let me know.

Your message said that chair covers are too expensive....have you researched the internet to find them at a low cost? There are places that will rent them to you for $3 ea. I don`t sew but would think that it would be less expensive than making them. And what are you going to do with them after you make them? If you rent them yourself, the trick is that you have to have someone install them....which you have to do anyway if you sew them yourself. Email me if you need additional help.
