Renewal Of The Vowls/Honeymoon Ideas

I was recently married to a member of the US Marine Corp. We had a quick, paperwork only, ceremony at the Justice of the Peace. No friends or family. We had wanted to have an actual wedding, but due to his last minute deployment that was not a option. He will be returning in late June 2004. We are seeking ideas on how to make up for our Big Day. Thanks!

Hi, Chas --

Do your friends & family know that you`re married, or have you kept it a secret? If the latter, see my reply on the "Secret Marriage" thread below.

Thank you for the reply, but our friends and family know we are married.

When my husband came back from Iraq (we were married at the courthouse the day before he deployed) we went on a week long vacation to the Poconos. I don`t know how much you are intending to spend. You can make even a motel room something special. Flowers, wine, etc. Or plan a weekend trip to the zoo and a nice honeymoon suite. From one military wife to another, it doesn`t matter where you spend it..as long as he is home safe, for good, and you two are alone to begin your life together. Frankly, Tom was so beat that he slept the first few days..Email if you need some more help.
