Star Theme

With christmas coming you can get star christmas ornaments to decorate with or use as favors... Or cut up paper stars and ask all your guest to write a note on it and hang them around your table so that you can have a table of stars with wishes surrounding you. You can also name your tables after stars...you know the famous ones or constellations. That`s a great theme congratulations...

We are having a star theme as well. What we are doing is finding clear balloons with stars on them and placing them around the room. You could buy wicker or wooden stars and hang them from the ceiling. You might also look into buying a dark blue or black bolt of matirial. Cover the ceiling with it.Make small holes in the fabric and put mini white lights above it. It will look like a night sky. Also glow in the dark stars can look nice too. Good luck

Thanks ladies those are great ideas. We found small stars at one of the teacher stores that I get my supplies at, for the tables. But we didn`t even think of those ideas. Great ideas-

We don`t have an Ikea in/near our town, but there is one near my fiancee`s parents home. We visit there several times a year and always visit Ikea. I will make sure to order a catalog right away. Thanks!

Go to askginka.com and check out her theme pages -- in this case "star" or "celestial" -- she has many many links to places that have great ideas for a star themed wedding -- I was considering that theme until I decided on "snowflakes" instead! Anyway, one of the best places I found with "star stuff" is shindigz.com -- some of it is a little spendy but the ideas abound. You might also keep checking orientaltrading.com. I found lots of snowflake stuff there, but they may also have star stuff now or later on....
