Brazilian Sweet Fifteen/Sixteen Tradition

My best friend is Brazilian & she just gave her sister a sweet 16 birthday party, but I guess you could do which ever you want!!! Happy Birthday!

Hey, just to let you know i`m brazilian, too. And brazilians have sweet 15`s usually then sweet 16`s. Like myself i`m 14, and my mom said that i could choose to have a brazilian sweet 15 or an american sweet 16. So now i`m having my own sweet 15, but i`m not going to spend 1000 dollors on it. And this is called a Quinceano and for a boy its Quinceanos. I just need to know if there are any traditional thing i need to do. Bcause my mom never had one, so she doesn`t know either. I`m brazilian, and the tradition is that you wear a white dress, dance w/ your father and brother, and later you change your dress to something more relaxing. There`s not really much to it, you just have a dinner, then you get to the dance floor. After that, don`t forget to play some brazilian music...
