We`re doing the same thing. Our reception invitations will say something like "we request the pleasure of your company for a wedding celebration."

We are considering the same. We will host a party asking people to "join us to celebrate or marriage."

I am getting married March 6, 2004. It will be the first marriage for both of us, even though we are both in our 40s. Both moms are not living, and we are paying for all our own stuff. We will most likely elope. We are thinking about having our pastor actually officiate (My fiance is a minister on staff at our church.), and invite everyone to a reception/celebration following our honeymoon.
I think it would be fun to have a celebration theme for the reception.
What should I wear for the reception? Formal or informal?
