Prom Themes

I`m the prom chair of this years prom (May 24, 2004). I know it`s quite early but I`d really like to figure out a theme ASAP so that I have all the decorations in order ahead of time so nothing is left to the last minute. Too many beach themes, such as Jamaican and Hawaiian have been done in the past, and I am looking to do something original. Please if you have any suggestions as to a fun, unique theme e-mail me as soon as possible! Thanks so much!

How about "Roaring 20`s" - Chicago Movie Theme! Students can dress in some great costumes from the flapper dresses, gun moll, gangster to gambling man.

Use a Casino Club decor look. We did this theme for our 1-800-PARTYSHop convention in Chicago this year. Here is a link to photos:

Another great theme is Pirates of the Carribean. Think of the current Pearl Island Survivor theme. You can view some great pirate party ideas here:

How about "Your A Star" - Hollywood theme?

One of them that I have always liked was Wonderful tonight. It is after the song by Eric Clapton. Another was Enchanted Evening. If you would like some ideas about some decor ideas, feel free to email me at angwillard@yahoo.com :)

How about something like "Royal Gardins." We did that theme for prom last year and it was a big hit. We just had a lot of plants and lights and colums everywhere. It turned out really pretty when it was all together.

This year our prom theme is "Moonlit Garden". We have a landscaping company coming in and setting up a 15 foot fountain complete with waterfall, fiberoptic lights, and fish. The floor is going to be cobblestone and the ceiling is blue gossamer with white string lights. A few parents got together and built a beautiful gazebo for the king and queen to dance on and 2 arbors. Plants and flowers are being donated for the night from local flower shops. It`s going to be incredible... It`s an awesome theme to work with.

How about something with Mardi Gras or the French Quarter, something that mixes both fun and romance. It could involve fun beads, lights, and masks!
