Help On Picking A Chambelan For My Quince !

Ok so my quincenera is like 8 months away & I need help choosing a chambelan, I would like my older brother (16) to be it but everyone says its a bad idea, I would like him because me and him are really close and it would be so much easier or should I pick a friend ?
