Wedding Songs For Grandfather/Grandaughter
I’m looking for a beautiful song to dance with my grandfather at my wedding. He’s been my only "father figure" I have ever known and I want to honor him. Please help.
Thank you

How about "To Sir, With Love", sung by "Lulu", from the Sidney Poitier film by the same name? My neice used this for a father-daughter dance, & guests were very moved by it. If you`re not acquainted with it, do rent the film & hear it. It will almost certainly be recognized by anyone 40 years & up.
Here are the lyrics, but to do any song justice you really need to hear them sung:
Those schoolgirl days
Of telling tales
And biting nails are gone
But in my mind I know they will
Still live on and on
But how do you thank
Someone who has taken
You from crayons to perfume?
It isn`t easy, but I`ll try.
If you wanted the sky
I would write
Across the sky in letters
That would soar
A thousand feet high
`To Sir, With Love`.
The time has come
For closing books
And long last looks must end
And as I leave I know that I
Am leaving my best friend
A friend who taught me
Right from wrong
And weak from strong
That`s a lot to learn
But what, what can I give
You in return?
If you wanted the moon
I would try to make a start
But I would rather
You let me give my heart
`To Sir, With Love`

I am dancing with my grandfather too. We are dancing to "Always be your baby" by Natalie Grant. It is absolutely beautiful.
