Father/Daughter Songs?
I`m looking for the perfect father/daughter song...but there`s a catch. I`ll be dancing to this song with my step-dad. He`s my only father so I feel bad for calling him my step-dad. Finding the perfect song has been a little tough because he`s been in my life since I was 9 years old and a lot of the songs have things in it about being a baby with your father. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

What about Over the Rainbow? It was used at a friend`s wedding and it was very sweet. I know Kermit the Frog sings it (ha ha), and I am sure others do a well. I need an uncle/daughter song so that may be the one I use. Good luck...

I just got married 2 months ago and me and my father danced to "There you`ll be" by Faith Hill. It`s on the pearl harbor soundtrack, it`s a beautiful song.

Hello - I am a musician and in the past few years we have played the Temptations song My Girl as a father daughter dance. It works very well. It isn`t corny and everyone knows the song. We have also in the middle called up the Groom and his mother to include them.

Hi Mindy, I am in the same situation as you. My dad is also my step-dad and has been there for me since I was 8. I am now 37 and this will be my second marriage. My first he didnt get his daddys dance. But he definately will this time. The song I am using is Hero by Mariah Carey. Cus it definately takes a hero to raise a child that isnt his own.
