Bridal Faux Fur Stoles And Capes

Does anyone know of a website or store that sells faux fur in white mink (fabric) or a place that sells them ready made. I have an early spring wedding and live in the north. My dress is covered in sequins which makes a lacy shawl inappropriate (snagging). I think a white faux fur cape or stole would be great.

Thanks!

Most faux fur capes and stoles can be purchased at a bridal stores. I`d recommend that you wait until until after Xmas when they will be on sale. A friend of mine bought a gorgeous fur cape last January for 1/2 price.

Good luck!

Thanks Kay, I checked in my area and they have none anywhere. I found Donna Saylers fabulous furs on line and they are faux and wonderful but not white. I lucked out the other day at a designer fabric store and picked up a $65 remnant for $14 and I am making a little cape and today found marabou feather boas at a dollar store of all places. I am going to line it with satin. The fur looks like white seal, short hair and I am trimming the edges of it with the marabou. It will cost me under $25 in total.

Thanks again!

I actually ended up doing the same thing. I did find some fur capes around my area but didn`t want to pay as much as they were priced at. So, I found a cape pattern and hired someone to make it for me -- much less expensive than buying one.

I`m glad that you found a way to get your cape too! Best wishes to you.
