Halloween Wedding
I am having a Halloween wedding this year and I am still having trouble on what kind of cake topper, glasses and serving set and what kind of cake to have. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I`m also getting married on October 30, 2004 and am planning a Halloween wedding. People thought we were crazy at first but now everyone is pumped for it. I also have people I don`t even know wanting to come to the wedding. Our ceremony will be very normal, but the reception will be all out Halloween-style. The bridal party will throw on long capes over our dresses/tuxedos and become vampires for the party. I have a background in dance - so the bridal party dance will be fully choreographed to "Thriller." -Haunted House cake, dead finger place cards for seating, and tables named (not numbered) after famous Halloween characters. I can`t wait. It`s all about personal style and creativity. Thanks all for your great ideas. I`m going to steal some - although I don`t know how the black invitation box was made and mailed. Does anyone know how???

Why not just use roses for your cake topper? Like orange or a fall hue? Or a small mask like one that just fits over the eyes and that is held my a wand at the side of your face? As for the goblets, if you are wanting something gothic go to Spencers or a place like that.
Good luck ..and have fun I have been to a Halloween wedding and they are fun ;)

I to am having a Halloween wedding(10/30/04) !!!
For a cake topper I found a cute little bride grabbing the groom by the collar as he trys to run away...from Hobby Lobby for only $ 25.
As for favors we are buying trick or treat bags and filling them with Hearshey Kisses-candy corn-clove scented candle and a taffy apple, along with a nice hand written note thanking them for sharing our special day.
If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear from ya. Congrats!

Instead of going all black and orange...I went a little more colorful. My 6 bridesmaids are the same dress but 3 colors - jewel tone~ wine - royal blue - hunter green. I am mixing in black and silver for accents to everything(tables, napkins, flower details, invitations, ect.) For flowers I am trying 2 keep it really simple. I picked peach and cream roses and tons of white calla lillies for the whole funeral feel. Its your wedding and afterall Halloween is kinda crazy have fun with it and get really creative. Good Luck and Congrats !

I`m also getting marrried on October 30th. It`s kind of funky. I`m HIspanic and he`s Scottish. We`re having bagpipes at the (and an opera singer) for a traditional Hispanic wedding, then the reception is Day of the Dead in theme and we`re even having an altar so *all* our relatives can come. The trick? There`s also a Western theme thrown in since he`s a cowboy/rancher guy. Funny thing is I`m a city girl and he`s a total country boy, talk about your fusion weddings. I had to make Day of the Dead informational packets for his family ahead of time so no one would freak out. Everyone is OK with it, they figure I went tothe rodeo cook-off, they can come to the city for a Latin wedding with a weird cultural motif for a reception. This is definitely going to be wild. We`re having our invitations done in Mexico and the party favors are allbeing bought. I`m having to go at least once a month to procure all the supplies since it`sout of season and really hard to find here inthe States, it`s gotten better, but it`s not like going to Walmart for towels. Best luck to all Halloween weddings...

I know it`s years after your Halloween Wedding, but... Thought I would put a response in anyway. I think that each couple that decides to get married has to be true to themselves. In fact, I am in the process of helping to plan a Halloween weddingfor my cousin, and was searching the internet for help. It`s too bad that people can be so negative. A little black... A little red... A little Edward Gorey. I love it. And here`s to originality!
