House Of Brides

Anyone out there can give me some information on the wedding chain House of Brides? So far they`ve been nothing but pain. They won`t return my calls, when I call them (I`m from Australia) I`m told to call a 1800-number. Don`t people know 1800-numbers only work in the country itself?? They`re slow at emails and they`ve charged my bank TWICE for the one gown.

Can anyone tell me if they`re above board??

Thanks

I would not recomment purchasing a wedding dress or bridesmaid dresses from House of Bride. They have been horrible to deal with, they do not return phone calls, they over charged me, and now cannot tell me when the dresses are going to be in. They have the arrival date as being the date of the wedding. I am so fed up with them. Anytime I hear of somebody getting married, I always tell them, DO NOT go to HOUSE OF BRIDES. They do not have any professionalism or service. This has been the only thing that has gone wrong and has completely stressed me out for the wedding. So once again, DO NOT purchase any of your dresses from House of Brides.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THE HOUSE OF BRIDES. I AM THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE (APRIL 24,2004) WEDDING. WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. THEY ARE RUDE, DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS, AND ARE NOT ACCOMODATING IN ANY WAY. WITHOUT GOING INTO ANY DETAIL, THAT`S MY ADVISE TO YOU. THEY ARE TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. GOOD LUCK

I wish someone would have told me earlier about the crappy business of House of Brides. I ordered a bridesmaids dress, paid rush order money for delivery within 6-8 weeks, and it did not get here until 12 weeks. When I talked to the manager Lisa about it, she said rush delivery only guarantees delivery a week before the wedding. What a crock! She would not give me my rush order money back, and to top it all off, when I went to have the dress altered, the tailor told me that they ordered the top of the 2 piece too small, and she would not be able to alter it without messing up the dress. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE HOUSE OF BRIDES- FOX VALLEY- MANAGER LISA
