50th Anniversary Party

This weekend I am the mistress of ceremony for my hubby`s grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. I am in need of help with a sure fire welcome speech. One in which discusses what an anniversary means and why we tend to celebrate them. Anyway, I just need HELP!! Thanks in advance. This site has been a real help to me/us!
