My best friend is getting married in 5 months. I was wondering if you all can help me out with a poes about how we started and how we will always be best friends til the end. And how much that I am going to miss her and how much I Love her. Her name is Mary.

I think you should wing it......it really needs to come from your heart. I hate people who get up for their speech and it is totally staged...those are the worst the best ones come from the heart....

I totally agree. You can usually get a little comedy in there doo. Which can be nice. What ever flows out naturally is best. Hope we`ve helped ....

I agree. Poems are not the right thing for this kind of event. It doesn`t have to be completely impromptu, I mean you can think about the things you want to say and how you want to say them. But reading something so completely contrived, especially a poem, never comes out very heartfelt.
