Wedding Mailbox
Instead of having the traditional guest book, I`m going to have a bunch of postcards already addressed to my fiance and I and then have guests fill in a wedding wish for the bride and groom. When we leave on our honeymoon my sister is going to put them in the mail so when we get back we`ll get to read them!! I just need to find out where I can find a cardboard mailbox??? Any ideas?? Thanks to all!!!

Diane, I`d recommend you try a local bridal shop -- most rent different card holders and I`ve seen a mailbox in every one I`ve been in. I rented a very nice mailbox for my reception site for cards; however, the mailbox could easily be used for the purpose you described also. You could place the mailbox next to the postcards for people to put into at the ceremony site. The rental cost is quite minimal -- I believe I only paid $20 to rent the box. It`s nice looking undecorated yet you could have your florist do something neat to it to make it look even better.
I hope this helps! Good luck.

I would like to keep the box, so if i don`t find one at a reasonable price I`ll head to my local bridal shop!! thanks again!

What you can do is acutally use a real mailbox. I found some at amazon.com for about $8. You can decorate it with your last name (new last name!) and keep it to use at your new place. Much cheeper than spending $20 to rent a box you`ll never use again.

Hello,
It would be cheaper to go to Wal-mart or one of your local stores and buy a plain mail box. That way you could decorate it the way you would like it..:) Also then you could maybe use it later or again if you would like to.

I have the one that I used in my wedding if you would like to see a picture I will forward it to you. Please leave e-mail address here or e-mail me directly at prostk99@aol.com It is a white plasic maibox that was decorated with white satiny material and has gorguse lace. You have to see it. I have no use for it any more and would like to sell it. Heather

I am actually going to buy a mailbox from walmart and paint it white, then stencil both my fiance and my names on the sides, with flowers in my wedding colors. I thought it was a cute idea for cards, just to set on the gift table.
