Halloween Wedding

I am having a Halloween wedding this year and I am still having trouble on what kind of cake topper, glasses and serving set and what kind of cake to have. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Wow, congratulations to all you Halloween brides! I just wanted to tell you that my husband and I got married on October 31, 1987 and next Friday will be our 16th spooky anniversary!

I love all the ideas mentioned here. We didn`t play Halloween up that much. But we did it in subtle ways, with pumpkin candles on each table and peach colored tablecloths (since the reception hall did not have orange).

One of the funniest memories I have of that night is when I was heading upstairs to the reception hall. The elevator from the chapel opened into a larger party room, where a group of hospital employees were having a costume party. When the door opened and I stepped out in my wedding gown, they all fell over laughing. I shouted out, "Happy Halloween!"

At the end of the evening, I went to the ladies` room and on the way back, I met up with a gentleman dressed as the Cowardly Lion, who asked me if I was a real bride!

I love all your theme ideas and wish the Internet had been around back then so I could have found some of the items you are mentioning. Don`t forget to include the theme from "Ghostbusters" in your collection of wedding songs.

Two great things about getting married on Halloween: there will always be a party to go to on your anniversary, and your husband will have no excuse to forget it!
