Gimmie Answers About The Depo Shot
In march i got on the depo shot, in june i had to go for my second visit, in september i went for my 3rd visit and now i have to go to my 4th visit in a month i really want to get off the shot b/c its hurting my body like im really depressed i want to know what could happen when i get off the shot like will i still be depressed will i still gain weight, how long will my periods last for if you have answers please reply

I think that a lot of it depends on your body. Everyone reacts differently to the shot.
I personally had a bad experience. I got one shot in Jan 98 and put on about 8-10 pounds. I also became very depressed so I decided not to get another one. However, I gained another 10 pounds over the next 6-7 months (while off the shot). At first, I didn`t think it could be from the shot, but once I finally got my period back in March of 99 (thats right, 14 MONTHS after the first shot!!), I lost all the weight I gained and started feeling back to normal.
Again, some people react differently. I have a friend on the shot and she LOVES it. She`s actually lost weight since she started taking it! Hope you`re one of the luckier ones.

If you are having problems with the shot then discontinue it. Eventually your body will go back to normal. Your cycle will be messed up for a little bit. The pill is a great way to get your cycle regulated after it. I would wait a few months after the expiration date of the shot and see what happens.
