Blotchy Skin--Help!
Hi! I am getting married this August on a beach in Southern California. I am a little worried because whenever I get extremely nervous, my chest and neck get a little blotchy. My dress shows both areas. Does anyone have any advice as to what to do? Is there something I can take or put on my skin to prevent this from happening? Does anyone else have this same problem? Any advice would be great. Thanks! =o)

Hi, I`m 22, quite pale too, and since a couple of years ago when I suffered a few panic attacks, I`ve had blotchy chest and top of arms whenever I get warm, have a drink and as I`m told, when I`m not relaxed - although I feel relaxed. Another idea, apart from medication is herbal remedies I`ve found out about today, apparently `Black Cohosh` is supposed to be some help for blotchiness and nervousness, and also menopausal and hormonal problems. I`ve bought some today, if anyone else has tried this for chest blotchiness or will give it a go, please let us know the outcome, Hope your wedding was fab and have a happy future together without the blotchiness !!

Hmm ... You guys might have the skin (& possibly concurrent eye) condition called Rosacea. I had it for years, before I even heard of it; & while I`ve now gotten it more or less under control, it`s not curable, just treatable.
Some symptoms -->
...Redness flare-ups on face, especially triggered by weather, spicy foods, alcohol, mood swings, ... & the list goes on.
...What I mistook for "Adult Onset Acne": pimples w/o white- or black-heads. These "lumps" just wouldn`t go away.
...Facial "heat".
When the eyes become involved (in about 50% of cases), you`ll know it,* if you`re aware* of "Ocular Rosacea". Not having health insurance, my eye symptoms (hard to describe) sent me to an ophthamologist for the 1st time in my life. I`m paying out-of-pocket for this.
Hope you don`t have Rosacea ... It`s a daily need to be handled with a number of topical stuffs.

Hi. I found this message board a few days ago and so glad I did. I have read all your reports and went to the doctor today and he gave me some propranolol. He knew all about this condition. I have been getting this terrible nerve rash for years and never new what it was called or that any medication can help. The only thing I did know was what brought it on. So many people had said to me just calm yourself down, take deep breaths but nothing helped. I can`t wait to start my medication and to start my new life "nerve rash" free. I am quite convinced it is called Adrenergic Urticaria. (believe me, I have been on every website reading about it.) For the lady that suggested it could be Rosacea, i really don`t believe it is this. Thank you again so much for making me aware of what I have had for so long. I now know that other people have had to go through this terrible ordeal as well and I know exactly what you`ve been going through. Thank you. Lisa
