Great Jaz For The Rest Of You

If you`ve ever wondered what it might cost too have some live jazz too make great memories too, then, let me give you an idea. In the Washington Dc metro area, the top busy musician on say, Saturday night will probably ask $350, at a minamum. For you this means, $1050 just for the basic fee for each, and then probably another $150 at least as a fee for the leader to compensate then for the work and responsibility of making it all happen. This means $1200 for the trio, and you can calculate as you wish from there.

There are many underrated musicians, however, who are not so busy, and who would love an opportunity to serve you with a musical meal that, while probably not exactly the same, is excellent never the less. So, no, we can`t do it for free either but, we can do it for less. In our case, you can expect it to run, say, $150 per musician, plus another $150 as an agent fee. This gives you an average fee for a trio of, $600. So we charge probably half of what the other guys do. Or, some charge what we do but keep half as an agent fee, leaving less for the musicians than I do. That`s fine but, it`s not us. We obsess about having good attitudes, and not being late, and having music that`s intended to serve you, not just us. Drop us a line any time, we`d love to hear your questions.
