Wedding Reception-Finger Food Ideas

Hello everyone, I am getting married in December this year, and instead of having a caterer, we decided to have finger foods and do it ourself. We already have the desserts figured out. So, If anyone has any ideas on what recipes might be good, i would appreciate it. The reception won`t be that big, close to 50-60 guests. Thanks!

Do a search online for "Canapes" (otherwise known as crackers with stuff on them) and "Tea Sandwiches." Also ask your families, they may have recipes that they used back in the days when everyone entertained formally. My mom always made curried shrimp and waterchestnuts wrapped in bacon (shrimp was a separate thing, not together!). Go to different caterers/restaurants who host banquets and ask for printed copies of their event menus (tell them you are considering them for a cocktail/hors d`oeurves reception) and then get some ideas from those. One of my personal favorites, Lox (smoked salmon and cream cheese--throw some dill in there--on a table water cracker) and cucumber tea sandwiches.
