David`s Bridal Truly Is Bad
I am not a happy bride when it came to visiting the Costa Mesa, CA and the Santa Ana, CA store and was VERY upset to find that after making an appt to view dresses and expect customer service when I arrived at the store, no one greeted me at all. As well, I waited well over an hour after my appt was made and other brides shopping in the store said Good Luck getting someone to even ask if you need help. Needless to say, I am passing the word in a wide network of what would have been potential customers to say that David`s Bridal does NOT employ corteous and attentive employees. NEVER would I want to shop there and a bride should feel like a PRINCESS, let alone at least a normal customer.

I just happened to run across this website by accident and I wanted to confirm everyone`s comments on David`s Bridal. I was recently married a few months ago, and like every other bride-to-be I was searching everywhere for the perfect wedding dress. Before I found the dress of my dreams I visited 12 bridal stores, one of which was David`s Bridal in Milpitas. Of all the stores that I visited, this was the only one that had such poor service. My bad experience started when I called to ask for directions. The freeway exit to the store had recently been closed for construction, and the receptionist was arguing with me telling me that it was not closed and that I needed to pay attention. I did not find one person at the store who was willing to help me find my way. When I arrived for my appointment, the sales lady pushed me to pick three dresses in a period of fifteen minutes. After the fifteen minutes had passed, she took the two dresses that I had chosen and picked another one for me. She then put me in a dressing room and did not offer to help me put on the heavy gowns. In general, my mother and I were very disatisfied with her attitude and with the fact that she was rushing me into making an important decision. After I was done trying on the first dress, I told her that I was not interested in purchasing anything from their store. I also cancelled my second appointment for bridesmaids dresses. For anyone who is in the process of purchasing a wedding dress, heed my advice and do not waste your time at David`s Bridal. There are many other stores that have a great selection, bettter service, and reasonable prices.

Its funny I came across this. I am a recent fiance, and we are using David`s Bridal. They have already lost payments, mixed up deadlines, seem to have zero organization, and honestly dont even seem to understand that we are PAYING for them to do their job. I worked in the "service-sector" at a wonderful small company, and had to put up with some of the worst of what the public has to offer, but I guarantee you that customer service was ALWAYS the first priority. David`s Bridal, in a word, is pathetic.

I also went to David`s Bridal in Birmingham AL, the first time I came in, I was pushed to pick three dresses within a few minutes, none of which I was wanting, but she said that I needed that style to flatter my figure. After trying on two of them she was already asking me how much I was going to put down. We found that there staff was very pushy to make a sale. We found my dress at a boutique that had designer dresses at a discount price, I ended up with a gorgeous Christina Wu dress that was the same price as the davids bridal dresses. The second time we went to David`s bridal was to get bridesmaid dresses, we helped ourselves to the clearance racks, and got our own dressing rooms, and proceeded to try on 5 dark rum pink dresses, for $30 each, WHAT A BARGAIN!!!!! After my girls were undressed a sales lady came and told us that we would have to move to another dressing room section because we were in here area and she was bring a bride to be back.... How were we supposed to know when no one helped us. They made us feel like a heard of cattle or just another number. The customer service is poor, but sometimes you can get lucky with there clearance rack. Oh and one more thing.... Don`t use there alteration service..... $35.00 to hem a dress!!! A friend of ours in church is doing them for free :)

I AGREE!!!!! My friend recently got married and all our dresses came from David`s. We also had a pushy sales person who tried to tell us what dresses to try on, even though we knew they weren`t what we wanted. When the bride`s dress came in, we drove out to the store in Albany, NY (1 1/2 hours from our house) to pick it up. When we got there, it was the wrong color. She ordered Ivory and they got White. They had to reorder the dress and it didn`t come in until about 5 weeks before the wedding. Our dresses took about 2 1/2 months to come in. She refused to have them do the alterations on any of the dresses, so we had a friend do them. When we brought them to her, she showed us that the hem on EVERY SINGLE DRESS was crooked, by a lot!!!!! I am currently planning a wedding, and so are many of my friends. I have been telling them all to AVOID DAVID`S BRIDAL!!!!!
