Planning Atlanta Wedding--Need Help!
My fiance and I (in Charlotte, NC) are planning a wedding in Atlanta, GA, and we really need some feedback from bride-to-be`s or new brides. We are looking at either a date of May 22nd or June 12th, so
We`ve got a few months of planning time, but every minute counts! We are looking at having both the wedding and reception at Piedmont Park, using Magnolia Hall and the Clara Meer Dock. Any suggestions or bad experiences there? Also, we`re looking to use Great Southern Catering by Folks Kitchen Restaurants for our reception. I`ve heard good things, but feedback from brides is what I really want.
We still need a bakery for our wedding cake and other vendors for this special day. I want to keep this wedding as inexpensive as we can yet ELEGANT.

I have heard good things about all of those.
These are some of the vendors that I am using that are very budget minded.
Video Aces www.videoacesinc.com videos from $400-$3500
Jill Simons Photography www.jsimonsphotography.com photos from $500-$1300 Her website doesnot have any pics on it but I am sure she can send you some pics to look at. Her pics are wonderful. She came out and met with me and showed me her album and it was really good.
My videographers step mom is doing my cake for $300 it will feed 250 people and is beautiful. Her name is Terri and her number is 770 537-5188.
Florist DGL Designs His name is David Lowe his work is amazing www.dgldesigns.com
My DJ is expensive he is $1000. For 4 hours but is well worth it. Jason Sparks with Motions Mobile DJ Service 770 942-9061

My wedding is in Atlanta this January. I have to tell you, I`m using Shirley`s Sweet Sensations in Lawrencville for the wedding cake and the tasting was FABULOUS!!!! Anthony Cole`s with Coles Photography is great, inexpensive and easy to work with! We are having ours at the Atrium in Downtown Atlanta, this was the only place that I could find that would allow us to bring in our own caterer, from New Orleans, and our own alcohol, saving tons of money! Good luck! I still have have lots of things to do!

To the person whp wrote about the Atrium please tell me what you mean managed by the wrong people for the wrong reasons? They`ve treated us really nice and the price was not at all expensive. Please give me more information or examples. If there is anyone else our there who has had dealing with the Fulton County Atrium please write and tell me about your experiences! I don`t want my wedding to be a diaster!

You can try Publix for you wedding cake. They have good cake.
