Inexpensive Ideas In S. FL
I am getting married in March 2004, and the wedding will be held in Islamorada (in the FL Keys). The site and food is basically set, but I`m still shopping for inexpensive favors, decorations, and entertainment. We`re doing a beach/tropical theme with the focus on sandcastles. Any ideas for centerpieces? Favors? Decor for the reception room? Also, I need some suggestions for an inexpensive DJ for the reception. Thanks!!!

The least inexpensive way to make a sandcastle centerpiece is to use beadboard rigid insullation. Carve it to look like a castle and then paint it beige. Then give it a good glue and sand finish.

Ok I`m just starting out, but I found lots of goodies at http://www.orientaltrading.com (they have bubbles, bows, bags, nifty stuff always good to check out). If you feel like doing your flowers yourself, I found a wholesale floral site online http://www.flowerfarmstogo.com with excellent excellent prices. 125$ (US currency) for 250 roses....wow plus a variety of florals. I have not tried them, but the prices are so reasonable you could order some just to see the quality. I don`t know what kind of wedding you are going to have, but I`ve found all sorts of good ideas by just searching the net. Smiles,

In response to ideas for beach weddings and sandcastles.........I need ideas also on sandcastle centerpieces.
We would need about 25 so it`d have to be easy to do and somewhat quick. The wedding isn`t until July but I think we should get started now. Any ideas on HOW to make nice looking sandcastles...about 12-16 inches high and at least 12" wide. Any other ideas will be most appreciated. Thank you so much!
