Marring Young

I am 19 years old and a freshman in college. I`ve been with my boyfriend, who is 21, for 9 months now and we have just started talking about marriage. We are talking about a date this summer, and I was just wondering everyone`s opinion on getting married at the young age of 19.

I remember what it was like to be in love at 19. I even moved
Away from my family to be with my boyfriend, who was 22.
I am writing this in the sincerest way......
At 19 you barely know who YOU are, trust me when I say,
Its better to wait until you are older to get married. If you have
Your heart set on getting married, try a long engagement first.
Make sure you know this person before you commit your life to him.
Good Luck and Blessed Be!

Here`s my opinion -- take it or leave. Generally I think at 19 you still have a lot of growing up and living to do before you`re ready for marriage. Now, I know there are some 19 year olds who are more mature than a 34 year old, but that is the exception not the rule. I believe one should FIRST get their education, live alone, support themselves, live life a bit, find out who they REALLY are, and then settle down with someone you love and want to spend the rest of your life with. BE YOU before you are an US. Although we are still individuals when we`re married, but things become US more than YOU.

I too was in love when I was 19 and thought I had found `the one`...but my goodness how WRONG was I. He and I broke up and now, 9 years later I did find the one and I am getting married in 9 weeks. You may have `the one` and if he is, he`ll wait until you have had an opportunity to be YOU.

Take it or leave it, but that`s my opinion.

Good luck to you and I hope you find your way through this.....
