INEXPENSIVE nice NY Or CT Wedding

My fiance` & I started off w/ plans to wed in St. Lucia in 07/04....BUT the opportunity to purchase a house has come up....that`s right, St. Lucia is now OUT! Does any one know of any affordable ($500-1000), elegant, outdoor locations in NY or CT to hold a wedding ceremony??? @ this point even suggestions for an elegant indoor location for the same amount would be great (very STRICT budget). We are in California (her family is from Long Island & we are moving to CT - thats why the location choices) so we`d have to have family members look into your suggestions. Please advise w/ ANY information....many many THANKS!!!
