NJ Sum/Fall Theme For Beach Wedding In Sept

I`m getting married the 3rd week in Sept `04 in New Jersey and i can`t decide if I should go w/ a beachy summer theme, or a fall theme. The reception will be held at a beach club outside on a large deck on the beach...weather permitting. I`m looking for ideas on how to incorporate summer and fall. Linen and mums, maybe?

Third week in September in NJ is still really summer. Everything will still be green and lush with no fall colors yet. The weather should be warm enough to go with a summer theme.
Just be careful and have a good indoor backup plan. The time you picked is the peak of the peak hurricane season. Although we rarley get directly hit, a hurricane off the cost can reak havok with the weather at the shore.
