Wedding Under $1000

I`m trying to plan a wedding and don`t know were to start.I have a dress,brides maid dresses me and my daughters picked out. My fiance` and I like the color burgany. I was gona go with that color because two other family members wanted to be involed in it. Then I seen these 4 brides maid dresses which are pink and pretty but are to small for the extra two people.Should or can I coodinate the two colors in my wedding? I also wanted to have a reception, I was going to buy my own food and have a cater serve it so people don`t overload thier plates. What would you reccomend?
