Bridal Shower Invitation

I have been invited to a bridal shower but I cannot attend. I do not know this person very well (I have only met her a few times but my husband knows her better). My question is, do I still send a gift for the shower even though I cannot attend?

We have been invited to the wedding and look forward to that day. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
