First Dance

I was recently at a wedding and the bride and groom had their first dance before the bridal party and parents were introduced into the room. Is this appropriate?

Personally, i always thought that the bridal party and parents were in the room first. Every wedding that i have been to, the couple were the last one`s in the room. I would never dream of having my first dance without my parents there to watch. I would think this to be extememly rude and inconsiderate on the b&g`s behalf
