Need Tips On Organizing My Wedding Album

My photographer gave us the proofs from the wedding. We will be doing the layout of the album ourselves. I`m not sure of what the layout should be...want to start with a pictures of the rings, then one of the two of us...then I`m not sure how to organize the album. Please help!

Hi Rachel,
Congrats on your wedding. My husband and I had the same dilemma about our album. We initially had over 100 photos taken and the album package that we chose only supported 40 (give or take a few). Our photographer took a closeup photo of my boquet which we chose as our first photo page (4x6 alone on the page). The following photos were in sequence with the day, pinning the boutineres on moms and dads, the bride before the wedding, the groom with his men (waiting), the walk up the isle, a few of the ceremony, the after photos (outdoor scenes), family photos, we had a few unique photos taken on train tracks (us standing on the tracks across from each other holding hands). The final photo was of our cake cutting. Hope this helps, good luck it`s hard to choose only certain photos because they are all very special.

Hi again Rachel,
Another tip......if you can, and your album is larger (13"x13") pages, mix it up a bit. .Have a few pages with only one 4x6 photo in the middle, then a couple of pages with four 4x6 photos, then maybe a page with a 5x7, then another couple of pages with 8x10 photos. It really adds variety when you are looking through the album.
