White Shoes In October - Mother Of The Bride?

Hi!

My daughter is getting married on the 18th of this month at an outdoor wedding in Florida. My dress is tea length in a very pretty periwinkle color. I have searched & searched for shoes to no avail. I have a brand new pair of white ones that look perfect with the dress, but I am scared the Shoe Color Police will come after me if I wear white in October! ;-) Does anyone know what the proper protocol for shoe color is for the mother of the bride? I would really appreciate any input - I`m really struggling with this one!
