The top will most likely fit a size 12 fine depending on your bust size. I am a 34D but am a size 8-10 normally so the size 12 fit me given the bust room I needed. If you have less up front and are a size 12, the top should fit fine. It has a zipper in the back so it can be let out if necessary. I had looked into having a size 8 bustier top let out to fit me and the seamstress said that I can be done no problem, same with the skirt.
