Re: Re: Free 2-Nights At Viva Res From Royal
Ok, here`s what happened. I got a hold of the head distribution person for this area and told him my problem of feeling like I got scammed and all the legal problems I`ve read about Royal Prestige...(remember all I ever wanted when I went online was to get additional recipes and wound up getting over 100+ sites with complaints and lawsuits about this company). Anyway, at first he was taken back by my accusations and the two of us were tossing threats back and forth. "Well, what if I refuse to pay you, you`re out the cookware then, aren`t you" (I said) He replied calmly: "Well, you can refuse to pay, it is your right, however, we`ll take your social security info. And send our complaint to equifax...all the while you are still paying for the compounding interest." Clearly, we were at a stalemate, and I knew he had me over a barrel. It could have ended there....but it didn`t. He told me that he felt bad that I`d found these things on the internet but most of them weren`t true. He then had me go on my computer and talked me through website after website that did support the companies claims about the validity of the cookware. Ok, so now I was convinced somewhat..."but what about ABC ???" (I insisted). He explained to me that the ABC story was bogus. Royal Prestige sued for defamation of charector and asked for credentials of the Specialist Doctor the show had on to discredit the cookware. Guess what? ABC couldn`t find him or his credentials. The Distribution Rep. Went on further to tell me that ABC now pays for Royal Prestige Cookware advertising to compensate the company for damages. You can see them on ABC between 5am - 7am weekdays (I`m told). Ok, at this point my anger was deflated. He went on to tell me that once the ABC story got out, many of their current customers got on the bandwagon and tried to get the money back from their expensive cookware sets.....(In truth, I might have even done the same in their place). In any case, I felt better about my cookware purchase and thanked him for taking the time to explain things to me. Just when I was about to let him go, he asked for my address and if there were any other pieces of cookware I might want to add to my current set. I told him that my Fiance wished we`d had the 8-inch skillet and I`d wished we`d had the 6-quart dutch oven (most of the recipes require it...which is why I had to go online to get other recipes in the first place). He told me, "Thankyou, I`ll get the right out to you. I don`t want your experience with us to be a negetive one. This is our show of good will and a testament to our products." That was less than 5 days ago. The box arrived today and my Fiance and I are thrilled. We`ve been cooking every night with our cookware, following the recipes, and enjoying the fantastic meals that practically cook themselves. No, I`m not a sales representative and pity the poor bastards that are....but I do think they are selling great cookware. Pricey, but good. I consider myself lucky and my advice to those of you out there reading this is "Think before you purchase. Read the fine print. Ask many, many questions. And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, if you aren`t happy with what you bought, for God Sakes do something about it. Don`t just Bitch about it on some message board. Go to the source....you may just get pleasantly surprised.
