A movie theater or on a stage would be fantastic. Very original idea.
Best wishes and congratulations!

I`m getting married in an old theater in Cincinnati in January.I know it`s quite a drive from Cleveland, but it is an incredible place! It`s from the 1940`s and although they still have performances there now it is used mostly for weddings. I highly recommend this place! If you`d like more information let me know! Here`s a tip on where to find some great movie "props"
Www.shindgz.com - it is a prom supply catalog that has a few pages of props....
Best wishes

I love the movies! I considered a movie themed wedding as well.
1. Watch The Majestic - it might be a little inspiring if you haven`t already seen it.
2. Consider a unique wedding cake (film reels?)
Look at www.mikesamazingcakes.com
Somewhere in his gallery is a great theater-type cake. I don`t think it is in the wedding gallery though... He ships his cakes from Seattle to just about anywhere.

Nichole,
We have debated on the costume wedding/reception for a while. At first we wanted to make the reception the only costume part of the wedding. But, it is kind of hard to make people dress up for your wedding and then have them all change clothes in the middle of it. So, we are having the whole thing, wedding and reception costume. The catch is that they can dress up like a movie character they want, but one that wore dressier clothes! Our wedding is really going to be themed around classic hollywood, 1930`s - 1960`s, so it shouldn`t be hard for people to find somthing they like, that is dressy. I personally will be dressed as a generic mob character, with the pinstriped suit and wingtips:)
My wife has a connection with Suncoast Movies in the malls. They have a lot of classic hollywood props that we are using. For example, our centerpeices are classic hollywood tins, lunchbox size, that feature hollywood actors and actresses.
Anyhow, if you have any questions or tips for us, let us know! We are at mattusaf@yahoo.com

We are not going with a costume reception or anything, but would love ideas on how to incorporate our love of movies (it`s what brought us together, anyway) in to the day`s events in a subtle way. Thanks!

Hi! Well one thing we are doing is along with our flower cenerpieces we are collecting up old Happy meal toys from movies and using those and "Themeing" our tables! Its a cute inexpensive thing to do. We have also collected old movies and we are playing almost all movie music at the reception. Hope this helps!!
