Who Pays For The Dress?

I was supposed to be in my friend`s court, we looked for dresses with her mother, and then her mother goes well the parents are playing for the dress. I told her i couldn`t be in the court anymore because Im not paying for a dress, isnt the family supposed to pay for everything?

Well No not really, Its usually the court that pays for it, since the family has a lot of expenses already.
