Wedding Gown Bustle
I received my wedding gown back with the bustle finished. However, they attached hook and eyes right on top of the train which you can fully see when the train is not bustled. We had them take them off because my mother is a seamstress, but now I`m looking for a site to find out how to make a bustle on this dress. One of the problems is that it is completely A-line and there is no places to hide the hooks or buttons for the bustle. Also from the waist down I have two layers of organza and I only have a sweep train. So any suggestions would be helpful since my wedding is only in a few weeks. Thank you.

Do you remember where the hooks and eyes were on the dress? You can replace them with teensy thread eyes which match the material, and hide the hooks waaaaaayyyy inside the waist seam. Make sure when doing the thread eyes, you lay the train out and smooth it so when you sew them in, the sheer layers lay right and not pucker. Some fabric stores sell white hooks, or you can just paint the silver ones. This will help them blend in more. You can also try a different bustle, like a french bustle, where the train is hooked underneath instead of on top. In the end, your guests will be looking at you as the whole picture, not focussing hard on your butt. (That`s your groom`s job, which comes later.) So don`t sweat hooks too much. :)
