Dates And Gifts

I am a bridemaid in one of closest friends wedding, and will be bringing my boyfriend who has never met either the bride or the groom. Can someone give me a good estimate of how much I should be spending on the gift - does it change since I am bringing a date- if so- should it be a little something more, or double, etc.

The gift comes from your heart and the cost depends on what you can afford to give. Your date is irrelevant when it comes to how much money you decide to spend on a wedding gift.
