MGM Grand In Las Vegas
If anyone has booked their wedding reception or party at Ricardo`s in the MGM, or any other restaurant, I urge you to call them. I had my reception booked for 3/13/04, at Ricardo`s. The deposit was made, the menu was picked, everything except the cake was taken care of.
Well I received a call about an hour ago from Antoinette, Ricardo`s, letting me know that as of 10/31/03, their restaurant will no longer be open. The MGM has chosen to not renew their lease, as well as others, so that they can put in a monorail system.
Not everone has been contacted yet. Good luck

We just got our call too. We were booked for may 2004.
Have any ideas on a comparable replacement.

Ricardos has another location on the west side of town, you could try that! Also there is a really good Mexiacan restaurant called Cozy Mels right off the strip (on HArmon and FLamingo) that is really good! And the New Yor New York has a mexican restaurant called Gonzales and Gonzales that is tasty too! Hope this helps, I live here in Vegas so I can help!

We ar getting married in the MGM, and 1/2 of our guests have already booked rooms there so we couldn`t move everything to another location as we wanted to. We eventually went to the Rainforst, also in the MGM. They are even more accomodating than Ricardo`s was.
I have to give major pints to Ricardo`s though. My invites were already printed at the time they canceled on us. BOB, the president, sent us the money to have our reception card reprinted. Also, I don`t think that the other Ricardo`s is the same. Bob mentioned that this was their only location until next year when they are finished building the new site.
As for getting married in Vegas. Do a quick search for Vegas weddings, you`ll be amazed at the hits you get. And send away for any Vegas coupons or tourist kits you might come across. Some have coupons and deals inside.
