No Gifts

My mother-in-law just got remarried and had written "your presence will be our gift" on the invitation in hopes not to receive gifts. People brought them anyways. The caterer had to quickly set up another table for the gifts. So, probably there is nothing you can say in the card besides "NO GIFTS PLEASE" to avoid getting gifts. Guess they had better get some thank you cards! :)
