Age Of Flower Girl
My daughter is 9 years old, and has been a flower girl in 5 weddings, starting at age 4. She was asked again to be one in May of 2004. She would then be nine and one half years old then, is she to old to be a flower girl? She is petiet, and is wearing a size 6 in childrens clothing.
Please respond, Thank you,

I don`t think 9 is too old at all. Actually, I think in some cases it`s better for a flower girl to be older than younger. It`s easier for an older child to understand what to do than for a 3 or 4 year old.
Sounds like your daughter is a pro at the job from the number of experiences she`s had being a flowergirl. The bride and groom will be lucky to have her!
Best Wishes.

My two daughters are 7 and 9 like yours and was just in a wedding as flower girls but they held bouquets. My friend is getting married and her niece is 11 and we are thinking ringing a bell the bride is coming the bride is coming.

I DONT THINK AGE SHOULD BE A ISSUE. I THINK IT IS THE BRIDES OPINION AND OBVIOUSLY IF SHE HAS ASKED YOU TO HAVE HER AS A FLOWER GIRL IT IS WHAT SHE WANTS, SO I SAY GO FOR IT! :--)

Thanks for all your input, I also feel that it should be up to the bride and groon as to who they want for a flower girl. Age shouldn`t matter. If they care enough about my daughter as to ask her to be there flower girl, then thats just great. I know she`ll do a great job, and she`ll feel like shes special. And she is. Thanks again. I feel much better.
