Reception Site In Or Near Austin, Texas

I just read your message pertaining to a place to have a small wedding in the Austin area. I went to a beautiful wedding with about 75 guests in Austin last year. It was in October and the weather was fabulous. It was located on the West side of Austin off of Capital of Texas Highway. Close to Lake Travis.The name of the place is called The House on the Hill. The location is beutiful with a great view. There is a huge yard in front to have the wedding ceremony and the house is moderatly large with a huge living room that has been converted into a stage for a band or Dj. Nice kitchen area to prepare food or for the caterer to work out of. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs for guest or family to stay. You forget when your inside it is a house. It is so roomy with all the essentials. The best part is the balcony that wraps around the entire back part of the house. That was where everyone gathered during the reception to socialize besides the dance floor. Table and chairs are plentiful. I really recomend this. I will try to find more information and if i do i will let you know. Everyone at the wedding commented on how nice the house was and the great location.Best part of all is the beautiful oak trees surrounding the house and the yard area. Good luck in your search.

Great place is Caswell house it was one of the least expensive places we found... Good Luck!

I HAD A FRIEND WHO GOT MARRIED AT THE IRON STAR HALL IN BERTRAM. THEY FILMED PART OF "THE NEWTON BOYS" MOVIE THERE, SO IT HAS A LITTLE FEEL OF WILD WEST HOTEL BUT STILL HAS A LOT OF CLASS. THEY DID NOT HAVE A VERY "COUNTRY" WEDDING. IT WAS VERY ELEGANT. I THINK THEY WERE ABLE TO RENT IT FOR ABOUT $900 OF $1000 FOR 9 HOURS. HOPE YOUR SEARCH GOES WELL!!

I would highly recommend the Resort Ranch of Lake Travis.

I would recommend "Angel Springs". It is a brand new facility that is very reasonable. The place is wonderful. I will be getting married there in May!!!
