Rehearsal Dinner

My husband has a small part in the wedding of our very close friend`s son and the wedding is 3000 mi. Away. I`ve
Been told that he gets invited to the rehearsal dinner but not me. THat means I stay in a hotel room in a strange city by myself while my hubby is at the dinner. THis doesn`t seem right to me. Thanks.
