Emma,
I am having my wedding at Tara-a country inn-just outside of Sharon, PA. It is beautiful and they are very nice. They will help you with everything and they are not pushy at all.
Email me with any questions. Hollysweddingday@aol.com

My first thought is to check into the metro parks. What city are you located in? i grew up in an east side suburb of cleveland, and still have a lot of family there. I can probably come up with some more ideas based on where you are.

I was just at a beautiful Park where my brother and his new wife went after their ceremony to have pictures taken. I don`t know the name of it but it is in Highland Heights or very close to it. It is also the government building in that city. I will find out the name and let you know.

The park in Highland Hts. Is just the City Hall, I think. It is right on the corner of SOM and is across from the plaza where Yours Truly is (or used to be, if it isnt there anymore...)

In Mentor, what about that park that is right on the lake? Where there is a big pool and some baseball fields? I don`t remember what the name of it is, but my cousin used to have swim meets there.

You could also look into Chardon - the "downtown" is pretty nice from what I remember (its been several years since I have been there). Don`t they have that little gazebo in the middle of town?

My first pick is always the Metro Parks though - you could look into the one right off SOM in the Willoughby area - there are TONS of places in there where you could have a beautiful wedding.

Good luck! I will try and think of some more ideas for you.

We have been looking, we have found two nice places. MillCreek flower gardens and Julia`s bed and breakfast. We hope it all works nice for for both of you!!!

Metro Parks is always a great idea, there are literally 1000`s of areas you can find. Sims Park in Euclid, Colby Park in Willoughby , I think is awesome even if not for the ceremony, for pics. My sister did hers there and they came out incredible. There are many places there. Also in any city/township that your parents/inlaws live in usually offer free or discounted rental rates for tax payers. Lake Co. Is the best for that.

Hi Emma!
I also live in Kent and am having an outdoor wedding this August. We are using Furnace Run in the Summit County Metroparks. They have some really beautiful places. We wanted either Furnace Run or Mingo. Good luck and happy hunting!

Hey! I`m so glad i found this thread. I am looking for a place to get married on the west side this summer (august). I would love a wedding on the lake, but not sure where (i`m new to the area). Also, who do you have to contact, or can you just set up a wedding anywhere if it`s a public park? i don`t know where to begin!

I am getting married on June 17 and we are getting married outdoors in a gazebo overlooking a lake. It is beautiful. It is located in Berea. It is the Berea Commons-Coe Lake. You can call city hall or just look on the website. Hope this helps.
