I know this is an old posting- but I saw pictures in a magazine perfect for someone who wanted Sunflowers. The place cards: think of a square folded in half, only the sunflower was printed larger than one side, so part of it was cut out so it popped up. Groups of them at the tables in a vase, easy green and yellow colors on everything. Your flower girls could have little yellow daisies.

If you plan on having an "aisle way".. You can get 2` PVC pipe, make 10 poles 3 1/2 feet high.
Cut one end ( the one going into the ground) at an angle.. At the other end drill a small hole 1` from the top. ( this is used for attatching the tulle- using pipe cleaner, floral wire, etc))
Make 10 "bouquets" incorporating the sunflowers
(silk or real) w/ greenery, baby`s breathe, etc...
** Make sure the bouquets will fit into the PVC pipe...
There are photos of a "similar" aisle way at www.barefootweddings.net- on the Wedding packages page.
Best Wishes

I saw this great idea . You can order seed packets with sunflowers on them. I think that would be a great wedding favor. You could purchase some little clay pots or plastic pots and sit the seed packets in them and put them on the tables.

Have you decided on centerpieces? It would be cute to buy some funky shaped vases and just put sunflowers in them.

I bought several sunflower garlands with small sunflowers and greenery at Wal-mart for a recent wedding. I then took twinkle lights and wrapped them through the garland. These were used to adorn the cake table, and around the room. It turned out well. (before you buy twinkle lights, ask your friends! You may be able to borrow a few strands from people here and there without having to buy them! Most people have a strand or two in their Christmas boxes)

The garlands were $5 each...the lights were borrowed. Total cost: under 30 bucks!

I did the clay pot idea for my favors and have the sunflower packets. I painted the pots, and on the rim and put our names and the date of the wedding. When the guests walk into the reception, instead on name cards, I bought thick popsicle sticks, painted those green and glued a wooden shaped flower on the top, which I painted as well. I wrote the name of the guest on the flower. Our wedding is April 10, 2004 and I am having a hard time with the bouquets, etc. Any ideas???
