Wedding Reception
Our reception is in February and We have decided to not have dancing at our reception. We can not think of anything to do. The reception hall is in an elegant setting so we do not want to do the hawiian theme for are reception. If you have any ideas please share.
Thanks

Sarah, a lot of people are opting out of the traditional wedding dance - there is nothing wrong with not wanting to have a dance. I would recommend indicating that on your invitations -- simply state what is following the ceremony. (ie, dinner, or an hors`douver buffet, or whatever you are chosing to have).
I`ve been to one wedding where the ceremony was later in the evening -- 8 pm and then afterwards they had a fabulous hors`douvers buffet with champagne and wine all night. The `entertainment` was a low-key jazz ensamble in the corner that played music as everyone ate, drank, and talked.
The event really was lovely and very elegant.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Is your reception in the evening? If not, you could do a brunch style reception which I`ve seen done very elegantly and guests wouldn`t expect dancing. You could also have entertainment provided, some kind of after dinner show.
