Dolphin Themed Wedding..

Tracey, non-traditional is now the way to go for weddings. I think it`s fantastic that you want each bridesmaid to wear a different color -- it will be spectacular - more variety and options for flowers then.

Today, brides are allowing their bridesmaids to pick out their own dresses, have different styles from eachother, and some don`t even have them wear dresses -- one bride is having hers wear a pantsuit (which by the way I think is an awesome idea).

You`re idea is NOT strange, it`s orginal and is going to be fabulous!

Hello I am also having a dolphin themed wedding lol and everyone thought i was crazy but the stuff i have is amazing i have the bottom of my dress emboriderd wiith little dolpins all the way around and the groom has a dolphin coming out of his pocket where the flower would be at.i found most of my dolphin accesories at a store called party city and also i looked online at ebay for dolphin favors and things like that I think its a very good idea to have an original wedding but if you need anything I do have some ideas that I am using if that will be helpful to making u day a little brighter.. Congrats on ur wedding and the fantastic idea....

I also love dolphins I want my wedding sort of dolphin oriented. My bridesmaids also are going to be different colors. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Hey, U`r not crazy. Yes I`m having a Dolphin Wedding as well go2 Ebay in search type dolphin wedding. Then go2 google & type in dolphin wedding. I found some of the neatest things 4 my wedding even dolphin bubbles & clear shoes w/dolphin swimming in them. Please feel free to e-mail if u have questions. As I`ve been planning my wedding 4 about the last 3 years now. & I can find any type of Dolphins needed 4 what ever I need them 4. As I LOVE DOLPHINS & I have over 700.00 count just in my house. Go to Google, type in "Dolphin Wedding" and lots of things come up. You may even want to click on "Images" and you can SEE the variety.

As for colors different than the theme - well, most people would think it`s odd, but hey it`s your wedding. Do what you want.

Again, the different color may not be very eye-appealing but if you don`t care, why should anyone else!

I have found some beautiful dolphin cake toppers on ebay from seller bluerosebridalboutique.
Her beach wedding items are amazing.
I bought several things from her, like seashell boutonniers, ring holder and cake topper.

My first wedding had rainbow colors. Every bridesmaid, 6 I think, had a different pastel color (same dress). The groomsmen wore a light grey tux with the same color cumberbum and bow tie as the bridesmaid dress they walked with. The dresses, cumberbuns and bow ties were all made by my seamtress. They carried white lace fans with pastel flowers and matching color ribbon of the dress they wore. The pictures looked great! If you email me at Usborne@needtoread.us I will dig some out and send you some pictures. If was neat because I could have many colors at the church and the reception, all pastels.

As for the dolphins, go to Sea World! Or, any beach area and you can get more ideas and "props". I would definately go swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove, Sea World, for a honeymoon! Or, you can swim with them in Key West too!

I don`t know anything about where to find dolphin stuff, but I think the idea to have your bridesmaids wear different colored dresses is great. That`s what I plan to do. I always thought monochromatic bridesmaids dresses were a lame idea anyway, not everyone likes and/or looks good in the same color. I plan on having my bridesmaids wear different colors from my fall theme- deep red, plum, and gold. It just so happens that they each like/look good in one of those colors. Cool huh?
