Pricing Of A Wedding Planner
I need to know how to charge for planning a wedding. Could someone please tell me how they do it. I ordered a book, but it hasn`t arrived yet.. Thanks.

Wedding coordinators typically charge by the hour for all that they do to plan the wedding. The bride dictates what, and how much assistance, she needs. Some brides have the wedding planner do everything and some hire one for specific items. The cost per hour of a wedding planner varies from area to area.
If you are having an over-the-top grand event worthy of the society pages and hire a wedding coordinator of that caliber they typically charge a percentage of the total cost of the wedding.
Also, there are wedding coordinators who work only the day of the event and make sure things run smoothly. These people are more of `wedding day managers` than an actual wedding coordinator.

I am studing to be a wedding coordinator. There three ways they usually get paid.
1) Hourly-depending on area usually about $25-50
2) Package- Rehearsal and Ceremony (Includes 2 meetings) $400 or Rehearsal,Ceremony and Reception (includes 2 meetings) $800 or Rehearsal,Ceremony,Reception and Pre-planning $1500- (inluces meetings with vendors)
*Just examples*
3) Percentage of total cost-usually 10% to 20%.
Hope that helps! :)
