Hi Jill,
I too am getting married this December (my wedding`s on the 13th) and we are doing "Christmasy" stuff. I found the most amazing centerpiece structures (three different sizes) for the florist to work with. They aren`t glass -- they are really gorgeous structures made with clear acrylic. One type of `structure` for the centerpieces are these gorgeous acrylic things that are actually shaped in cones, like a Xmas tree. The florist is going to surround them with holly leaves, berries, and candles. The other structure is medium-sized and can hold a candle -- the florist is going to make a wreath around the bottom. The final centerpiece strucure is a large, tall (yet sorta slim) structure that will have holly and berries flowing out of it. I absalutely fell in love with these structures and although they were pricey, I bought them anyways.
The color of my bridesmaid`s dresses are silver so I`m doing silver snowflakes and such on the cake and for the placecard holders. I found the greatest placecard holders on some website. I`ll give you the address if you`re interested.
I hired a harp player to play Xmas songs as people come into the reception and have a jazz band to play xmas type music during the meal.
I`m rambling -- sorry. Jill, my email address is: jaykay@usfamily.net please feel free to email me and we can swap ideas of what we are doing for our weddings. I`ve got a million things I`m working on and I`d be happy to share with you what I`m doing.

What about mini christmas trees with lights and everything. You could have a decoration with each guests name so they can take part of it home. Also maybe snowmen made out of cotton batting, or if you have the money, ice sculptures in any theme you want. I would also consider getting a clear bowl with a slight raise in the bottom. Turn the bowl upside down and fill with holly, berries, mistletoe, and float some candles in the top. Hope this helps.

I too am getting married on december 21st. Here are some of the things that we are doing. We are having a lot of children in the wedding so we are having a real christmas tree at the reception (if you are interested i can give you the names of florist that decorate and deliver the tree for reasonable prices.) with presents underneath. Our favors are christmas ornaments, our center peices are candle holders shaped as huge presents, and our place card holders are also shaped as presents. We also bought a guest signing book and covered it in white velvet with gold trim lace that has gold glitter christmas trees and ribbons.
Other center pieces that we are using are silver bowls filled with red and gold christmas balls.
Hope this helps
